A Very Merry Not-Unbirthday To You
Who: Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Derek, Norman, Bay
What: It's Nico's birthday! And boy does he not want anyone to know that. Little does he know.
When: Tuesday, January 28
Where: Cabin 13
Why: Because it's Nico's birthday and Percy and Derek aren't letting him mope about it this year. Party-style tagging guys, do whatever you want whenever you can!
When he'd talked to Derek, Percy had stressed heavily the fact that they couldn't go overboard with this, or tell anyone else besides Nico's family and cabinmates. He was pretty sure Nico was still going to try and kill him for doing even this much, but like hell was Percy going to let him squirrel himself away on a day that was supposed to be fun when he was actually at camp for once and had suddenly acquired a boatload of new family members. That way-too-skinny twelve-year-old from two and a half years ago was still fresh in his mind even now, and since they actually had him in reach for once, his birthday was being celebrated whether he liked it or not.
At least he kept it small. Just a cake (chocolate, frosted green with black and white skulls and bones on it), a few people, a couple of presents. No telling anyone else. No decorations. No singing. Just the five of them gathered in Cabin 13, waiting for Nico to come in either by door or by shadow. And preparing for Derek to likely have to chase him down and bring him back.
