She didn't wake up as he removed her clothing, as the water ran over her, healing her bruises and scrapes, taking all evidence that Gabe had been there in the first place.

With Annie unconscious, she was unable to look perfectly dry as she otherwise could after going for a swim. Shivering in the cold November air, it didn't take her long to wake up, the memories of what had just happened flooding back to her. With a stifled sob, she considered staying there, unable to move. But a cold wind off the ocean was enough to remind her, to gently urge her to her feet as she began the long trudge back to her cabin, Gabe's warning ringing in her ears.
