Who: The entire camp + special guests.
What: Wolves have broken through the camp barriers!
When: Late Wednesday January 29 into early morning on January 30
Where: Various camp locations.
Why: Some canines think they can show Camp Half-Blood who's boss.
It starts with a scream.
The evening harpies, better known as camp's alert system for kids who are out past curfew, have some news for everyone, flying through the camp and shrieking through cabin doors to wake everyone up if they're asleep. (Unless, of course, you're untrained and too young or incapable of fighting tonight. Demeter cabin will be your place of refuge.) After the first call to duty, campers have risen to the occasion with their various plans and promises, patrolling the border and building weapons specifically for their new enemies. The Full Moon passed with only a few howls, much to the surprise of many.
No, these wolves have other plans for the New Moon. Aligned with Gaea and followers of Lycaron, they're a group of six renegades looking for a show and perhaps a tasty snack. One of them just so happens to be in the business of fussing with the Mist, undoing someone's hard work to let in her comrades.
They've got bared teeth, blood on their nails, and a penchant for chaos. Camp, it's time to wake up.

[ Heather knows she should find her cohort but it's way too messy out here. Scott's the first face that she wants to see and she immediately runs to him, quite an odd sight in her Hella Heart Oakland shirt and galaxy leggings. She's only just tugged her motorcycle boots on, keeping her sword at her side. She grabs his arm as she catches up. ]
Gods, I've been hoping to find you! We can't go at it alone.

[It's good that at least he's not the only one in semi-pajamas. His hand clutches the sword that's forever at his hip, and at least now it's coated in silver. That's going to help them, he thinks. That will be his saving grace.]
Come on. We can't let them in.
[He's glad she's got a hold of his arm, because he's hammering towards the pine.]
no subject
Got it. You've got me, dude.
Nice sword, by the way.

[He notices the seriousness in Heather's voice, the determination, and that's- that's what makes her Roman, he thinks. Those are qualities of a worthy legionnaire.]
Oh- thanks.
[Even in a tense combat situation, Scott McCall is polite.
There's footsteps up ahead - though it could also be the hammering of his own heart. Scott isn't sure anymore, but he can't be too careful. His sword's out and at the ready in both hands, eyes darting around.][It's a simple one, just one Romans use fighting side by side in twos.]

She waits for the blonde to pass and pulls the wire she's secured by the tree, making her stumble.
Rosie is small but she has enough strength and energy - and the advantage of a surprise attack - to knock the girl against a tree while she's separated from her friend. ]

[He hears a thump as he's running and looks around. his heart racing.]
Shit. Where is she.
[The curse is soft, barely louder than a pin drop.]
Heather!
[He shouts her name, then realizes he's completely alone.
Fuck.]

[Lora stalks over to the boy, now alone. She has no idea who that girl who knocked the blonde out is but her job just got easier]
Look at what the gods lefts behind.

[His sword's in front of him with a gleam, standing his ground, straightening up and then loosening, thanking Victoria for the ability to be ready to spring into action at any moment.]
Get back from me. Get away right now

[She smirks, fangs showing]
Roman? Cute.
no subject
[He's terrified - even fighting Derek didn't prepare him for this she-wolf, but he's trying not to let it show despite the fact that his heart is pounding. He eyes her fangs, but his grip only gets tighter on the sword.]
What did you do with Heather?!
no subject
[Lora can smell the fear on him. But he's still standing up to her.
He could make a good werewolf. She hates demigods but they tend to make good packmates. It's going to take months to get the taste of his blood out of her mouth but...
Still smirking, Lora shifts]
no subject
[And when she shifts, Scott gets into a very, very ready position, making sure the amulet is around his neck. He knows she's going to lunge soon. That's how wolves work.]
Get the hell out of my camp.
[It may not be his first camp, but it's a good one. Despite everything that they'd been taught about how the Greeks were terrible in New Rome, he likes these Greeks, would gladly take a bullet for most of them.]

Snarling, Lora pounces on Scott and bites into his side]
no subject
Then there's teeth sinking, sinking into his side and he feels his skin break and burst, and it's agony. Torture, almost. He lets out a shout of pain, anguish.]

She pulls herself away from Scott, grinning wolfishly through the blood on her muzzle]

Enjoy the next full moon, little wolf.
[And she's off]
no subject
[Because Scott has barely time to register what she said before he gets up and groans from the searing pain, then starts hobbling away.]
no subject
With a deep breath, she races to her, a dangerous look in her blue green eyes as she tries not to baby her injured arm.
Even the playing field, then fight. ]
no subject
[He sees Heather's arm and shakes his head. Nope. They can't have anybody like that out fighting - they're more susceptible. And who knows if these wolves are aiming to chow down or worse.
Invisible, he comes at her, hooking his arms around her waist - so now Heather'll be able to see him, but others won't. He might not get her on the first try up and over his shoulder...but he is trying.]
C'mon. We gotta get you fixed up.
[His voice is soft, almost like a whisper.]
