Who: The entire camp + special guests.
What: Wolves have broken through the camp barriers!
When: Late Wednesday January 29 into early morning on January 30
Where: Various camp locations.
Why: Some canines think they can show Camp Half-Blood who's boss.

It starts with a scream.

The evening harpies, better known as camp's alert system for kids who are out past curfew, have some news for everyone, flying through the camp and shrieking through cabin doors to wake everyone up if they're asleep. (Unless, of course, you're untrained and too young or incapable of fighting tonight. Demeter cabin will be your place of refuge.) After the first call to duty, campers have risen to the occasion with their various plans and promises, patrolling the border and building weapons specifically for their new enemies. The Full Moon passed with only a few howls, much to the surprise of many.

No, these wolves have other plans for the New Moon. Aligned with Gaea and followers of Lycaron, they're a group of six renegades looking for a show and perhaps a tasty snack. One of them just so happens to be in the business of fussing with the Mist, undoing someone's hard work to let in her comrades.

They've got bared teeth, blood on their nails, and a penchant for chaos. Camp, it's time to wake up.

--I can hear you.

[Lora turns around before she gets to the arena, looking down at the girl]

You don't smell like a demigod.

[The harpy warning had gotten Harry moving fast. He'd already been prepping for an attack, and had taken to sleeping with his kit beside his bed. Once the alarm hit he was up and ready to go. First plan had been to make for the wards and see if they needed restrengthening, but that idea had gone out the window when he'd caught sight of a small blonde making her way into the arena.

By all rights he shouldn't have followed her. Even not knowing Murphy well, if she really was a reincarnated valkyrie she probably could handle herself, and besides he had his own part to play that didn't involve her.

Because leaving a young woman on her own when monsters were roaming because she wasn't his responsibility or could benefit him was just the sort of logic that would make DuMourne proud.

Harry only hesitated a second before slipping into the dark after her, though he stuck close to the wall and didn't quite head for the arena yet, letting his eyes adjust to the dark and scope out the situation.

Hearing a voice full of menace echo from down the hallway Murphy had gone, Harry was hoping he'd made the right call.

[Probably should have seen that coming. She is completely unaware of Harry's presence at the moment. Karrin grips the gun in her hand.]

I'm of the Aesir.

[She stands straighter. She may be five nothing but there is a steely look in her eyes. Karrin raises the gun.]

That's a lot of blood your covered in. That wouldn't happen to be of a demigod's would it?
