Who: The entire camp + special guests.
What: Wolves have broken through the camp barriers!
When: Late Wednesday January 29 into early morning on January 30
Where: Various camp locations.
Why: Some canines think they can show Camp Half-Blood who's boss.
It starts with a scream.
The evening harpies, better known as camp's alert system for kids who are out past curfew, have some news for everyone, flying through the camp and shrieking through cabin doors to wake everyone up if they're asleep. (Unless, of course, you're untrained and too young or incapable of fighting tonight. Demeter cabin will be your place of refuge.) After the first call to duty, campers have risen to the occasion with their various plans and promises, patrolling the border and building weapons specifically for their new enemies. The Full Moon passed with only a few howls, much to the surprise of many.
No, these wolves have other plans for the New Moon. Aligned with Gaea and followers of Lycaron, they're a group of six renegades looking for a show and perhaps a tasty snack. One of them just so happens to be in the business of fussing with the Mist, undoing someone's hard work to let in her comrades.
They've got bared teeth, blood on their nails, and a penchant for chaos. Camp, it's time to wake up.

That's what he's doing when he spots a familiar head, heading from the Athena cabin. Jehan stops.
He thought he was past this]
Zane?
no subject
Shit.
Well.
Shit.
He turns his head, briefly looking panic before he hides it. Got to play the villain here, right?]
Hey cutie. Long time no see!
no subject
[Jehan takes a few steps towards him, clutching his blunderbuss tightly]
W-why are you here? Please tell me you're here because you left the Red Room, Zane, please. I don't want to have to shoot you.
[The desperation and hope in his voice is so obvious that if someone else were speaking, Jehan'd shoot whoever it was making him sound so miserable.]
no subject
It's almost funny, he thinks to himself, the amount of faith Jehan seems to have for him.
The desperation in his voice though, makes Zane's chest tighten just a little. But again he shoves it aside. Time to play the villain, right?]
I'm here on important business. Red Room business. Why else would I be here?
no subject
Because I don't fall in love with bad people and I'm hoping--
[He takes a shuddery breath]
Drop the books, Zane.
no subject
[He shakes his head, and makes no move of putting the backpack down. Instead he walks forward, grinning.]
What're you going to do if I don't, hm~?
no subject
[He cuts himself off, still unable to point his gun at Zane and wishing he had a knife or something now]
Please, Zane. Don't. Drop the bag and go.
no subject
[And he's within arms reach now and half-tempted to aim Jehan's gun for him just to see what would happen.]
You know you guys are fighting a losing battle right?
[Gaea was going to win, she was gaining allies while they were confined to a camp. They'd all end up dead at this rate.]
Jehan, come with me.
no subject
[Jehan is pointedly not looking at Zane now, shaking from the effort of not losing it]
It's not a losing battle until we're all dead. I won't--I can't--leave camp, Zane. This is my home and almost everyone I care about is here.
[The "if you were here, it'd be everyone" is left unsaid]
Please, stay. Come back to m--us. Come back to us.
no subject
[He won't deny that he was kind of an accessory to attempted murder, y'know, helping with kidnapping and what not. But he would argue that technically he didn't lock Jehan in that room.
Snorting his shakes his head.]
Come back to what? A trial and execution? Whether by my fellow Romans or when the Red Room wins this war? Sorry, no. I'm very content being on this side.
[Mostly.]
no subject
[And he's tearing up now, yeah]
So on a scale of 1 to DW stop eating Zane tags, how upset is Jehan :'D?
[He can't help but sigh, taking a step forward. Dammit he hates seeing Jehan cry.]
Do you really think they'd listen to one person over a sea of enraged demigods? No offense, hun, but... I don't even think bringing in the Ent would stop them.
[And he is genuinely sorry about that, because he'd like to think Jehan's voice would matter but... Well. In this instance? Not likely.]
so very
[Yeah, he's crying in earnest now]
It isn't fair.
Re: so very
[Because if he did then Jehan would be leaving with him.
Smiling, a bit sadly, he shrugs.]
I think we're the best people to know life isn't fair.
no subject
[Jehan can't help it. He wants just one last kiss and anyone who hates him for it can screw off. He steps closer to Zane, kissing him quickly before stepping back]
Go, before someone else sees you. I'll give you time to get away.
no subject
That doesn't mean he isn't a bit dazed when it happens. Zane nods, dumbly, but then shakes his head quickly.]
Wait, won't you get yourself into trouble if they found out you were helping the enemy?
[Because despite everything? Zane does not want to get Jehan into any trouble.]
no subject
[He smiles sadly]
They won't know, and I can easily play the role of the emotionally destroyed teenager.
[Mostly because he is one]
no subject
Still, it's enough to make him pause before leaving, just long enough to steal one more kiss.
And then he's off
to get punched by Courfeyrac and Gabriel.]
