Fly Away to a Cafe
Who: Everyone who wants in!
What: The V-Day Café! (Yes, that's what we're going with, no, you can't make WWII jokes.)
Where: The Big House
When: Valentine's Day, mostly evening but various times
Warnings: I have no freakin' clue, it's probably going to depend on individual threads
At 6:00 sharp, the doors are officially open on the first ever Camp Half-Blood Valentine's Day Café. The two biggest rooms on the first floor of the Big House have been turned into dining rooms, one decorated in a much more traditionally "romantic" oeuvre for couples and the second into a relaxing place to hang out just among friends. Both rooms are serving the same menu, and both have a good number of tables set up to accomodate visitors. As people finish eating, the waiters and waitresses will roll around a dessert cart for people to make selections from. Enjolras will beincredibly reluctantly providing serenades in the romantic dining room with some assistance from Cosette, while Chiron's boombox has been borrowed and tuned to the local pop station for the casual dining room. Have fun, everyone!

"I don't think we're allowed to have everything-- See how it says: 'pick one' up here?" as he rubs his arm against Gabriel's to point at the menu.
no subject
"Fine, fine. Gods, didn't know you were the type of guy to take the easy way out of this, R." He chuckles a little, looking down at the menu. "Do you like lasagna?"
no subject
And of course, the footsie continues under the table, making Grantaire feel a little more comfortable. "Don't think they could've made this menu more pretentious if they tried. Maybe if they put it in French..."
He promptly starts translating snippets of the luxurious menu into French in his thickest accent.
no subject
Probably not, but he hopes it is. If there's one thing he knows about the Demeter kids- especially the two boys heading this thing - it's that they can cook some serious shit. And that's helping to relieve the tension too, that this night isn't totally fucked.
He does get a laugh out of that, though, and mimics his accent as he reads in English. "They say French makes things sexier. Unfortunately, I only speak Spanish. So you're SOL here."
no subject
He laughs and shakes his head at Gabriel's comment. "Spanish is much more romantic to me, but I don't hear that every time I go home, to be fair. Does it make me sexy, mon ange?" Rolling his eyes for emphasis that he doesn't think so.
no subject
"I guess. Whatever you want to believe is what you'll believe anyway, isn't it, pendejito? I think I know that much about you."
Gabriel has no idea if that's the actual diminutive of pendejo, but he's making this up as he goes along. It's what he does best.

"It's all right. Not big on Italian food to be honest. Besides, I'd rather save my appetite for something else," he says with a blissful smile at his date.

"You can sign up all you want. I'd much rather have your stupid face than gooey Parmesan over aubergine." His eyes crinkle a little.
"There is a slight upside to suddenly having a cabin to myself. Think your roommates would miss you tonight if you didn't show up for lights out?"
no subject
But he can't help but smile just a bit. This is...this is nice. He could use something like this.
"I don't think Tonks'll mind too much. She knows what day it is, and she knows who I'm out with."
no subject
As he takes a drink of the water that came, he thinks about the last statement. "'Who you're out with'-- Is that an implication? I'm offended. I could be a proper gentleman and drop you off at your doorstep with a kiss."
He could be.
no subject
That just gets an eye-roll. "Oh, you could be. I have no doubt about that. What I'm getting at here is that you won't."
no subject
"Is that a promise?"
no subject
"Dude. Dude. Dude. That's such a promise."
no subject
"Good," he grins, keeping his hand in his as he closes the gap and kisses him.
no subject
But it's also kind of...alluring. And he's happy to return the kiss, his eyes falling closed.
