What: The first Camp Half-Blood talent show.

After some delays, the camp wide talent show is finally set to go. Or, as Annabeth would call it, CHB Factor, complete with three guests judges to give critique a la the standard reality competition. In the arena is a big stage with the judges’ table off to the side, with seats for Juniper, Mr. D, and Tai. And technically only one of them is actually equipped to do any real judging, but the other two are around to keep the mood light. The performers have a backstage area to prepare themselves for an afternoon of entertainment, leave their instruments or other various props they might need during the show.

The Emcee of the evening is Gabriel Novak. (Much to Annabeth’s chagrin, though she did agree that he would be a more entertaining choice than, well, herself.) She also would like to thank Jason for the idea and Merlin for his rounding up efforts, particularly for a few “secret” performances on the way. This seems to be a good cross-pantheon effort and the excitement in the air is tangible. One can’t help but be proud of their community for coming together for both the good and the bad.

There will be a nice after party after the show, which includes the standard dinner set up buffet style in the middle of camp as well as a large chocolate fountain surrounded by fruits, cakes, and other things to dip into the melted sweet stuff.

Okay, I've met... Percy, Nico, Margot, and, [and here she blushes a little] Leo.

Oh, awesome. [ Natalie hardly notices the blush, going over the list again just in case she forgot someone. She's sure it's accurate. ] Yeah, I have no idea who allowed me, Percy, and Leo to be counselors.

Well, Leo seems to be really great at his job. He was so sweet to me, welcoming me in. [Whoops, someone is crushing hard.]

Percy, too, and everyone, but, really, Leo.

[clearasil]

Well ... We're all protective of our siblings and will do anything for them and by proxy the newbies in our cabins. I guess that automatically makes us decent counselors, though -

Well, okay, one time Percy kidnapped me and Leo because he wanted to set us up on a date, and disaster happened and, oh man, I thought I would have lost my position because of that mess but I didn't.

[cavalrys]

I guess? I mean, Nico's like that. I'd do anything for him, too. [What is a newbie?]

[Hazel was about to say something about Percy kidnapping anyone but then the next few words hit harder, taking her words from her completely.] Date...?

[clearasil]

[ Oh, no. Oh, no. She's letting her own lovey dovey feelings make her oblivious to what's happening right now. ] Yeah, it was a decent friend move, making us go and get Greek food without realizing that ... we actually asked each other out, basically, a whole month prior to that. And, like, all this stuff happened over the summer -- yeah, sorry, so sorry, I'm probably boring you, my gods.

Oh- no, no, that's, that's great, Natalie. You seem really happy. [She smiles for her, though there's a sinking in her stomach that she can't explain, and she honestly feels sick. She wants to grab Nico and drag him away from here, back to their cabin, so she can hold him and cry.]

I should go. I promised Nico I'd be back to sit with him... It was great to meet you. [She gives her a small wave, before retreating back to her brother, her head hanging low. Under the food table, if anyone cared to look, a large block of gold could be found.]
