Who's Strong and Brave Here to Save the American Way?
Who: Steve Rogers, Annabeth Chase, an NPC demigod...and a surprise
What: Going to get the demigod Tybalt and Dave heard about in Saratoga Springs.
Where: Northern New York
When: May 14-15th
Why: Because Captain America
For once, this quest doesn't have an official prophecy telling the questors to go. This time, it's mostly a warning.
Where the cat and red-eyed one had gone
To save this child they need brains, then brawn.
Siblings two shall go forth
And one shall come into his worth.
But mind the dangers in the Springs
For there shall be one to pull the strings
Of others that are still unknown
And one who will one day atone.
Cheerful little ditty, isn't it?
They had planned to send Annabeth anyway, but the prophecy mentioned siblings so Chiron (reluctantly) told Steve that he was going to get to go on this quest as Edmund was too new. There's no big to-do over this one, though there's still a chance to tell the two good-bye.

Can I, ah, still kiss you? Or did someone else get there, first?

Because, uhm. Have you seen yourself?

[That being said, Hazel leans up and kisses him. On the lips.]

...Gosh. Thanks.

Uhm, you're welcome?
[Oh no. Was she a bad kisser?]
no subject
I, uh. Gosh.

Sorry. I kinda... I kinda like you.

I mean, if you don't like me, you don't need to. I wasn't, ah, expecting you to. At all, really. [She's blushing scarlet.] I wouldn't like me, if I were you.
no subject
I just. Well. This is all new.
no subject
I haven't really... Done anything like this. Not in a long time.

[She swallows.]
I won't- I mean- I'm not expecting anything. If you don't want to.

[The fact that it was awkward didn't make it hurt less. he had to think about it. She was only a maybe. She should have known. He'd never like her. He was a nice boy from a better part of town, with better powers, better looking girls, white girls, all over him now that he came back. And what was she?
Hazel Levesque, the dead girl walking.]
Sure, Steve.
[Trying to hide her hurt, Hazel turned away.] I'll- I'll see you around.

It's fine, I understand.
I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you. [Back at home, that would have been bad news bears.] I should have known you'd never like a girl like me.
[the earth seemed to move a little, small pieces of what looked like gold and silver springing up around them. Oh no. Not now.]

It's a lot to get used to. It's weird. It's nothing to do with you, or how you look, or anything; you know I think you're real swell, right?
no subject
I know. You said that. And I think you're really swell, too. I- I get it. I think I do. It's just... your outside finally matches what's inside. [It's a complement.]
Do you really not care? Even boys today, they care. Some of 'em.
no subject
Of course I don't. Why would I?
