Who: The entire camp!
What: Mr. D has moved up his festival of Apokries to coincide with Halloween! It's time to party! Where: All around the camp!
When: Thursday, October 31st
Why: Because, why not?

It was decided earlier in the month that to coincide with the holiday of Halloween, and to give campers a bit of fun after all this nonsense, that Mr. D would be holding his festival of Apokries early! As such the entire camp has been decked out in all sorts of spoooooky decorations.

It's as though a carnival has been set up over night, with music and food all around. There are satyrs and nymphs handing out candy at cabins (smarties for Athena, warheads for Ares, ect.) for any people wanting to trick or treat,  and campers running around in costumes. 

The ampitheatre has once again become a designated dancing spot, and Apollo might have returned to DJ, the arena miiiight have been transformed into a bit of a Haunted House (with special thanks to Hecate), and Demeter has set up a corn maze for campers to navigate through! 

It's time to have some fun!

*Callie's first reaction is a look of shock, cause... that was Reyna? Callie was impressed, and amused, very amused. She stared a little more before a smile crept over her face. A look that said she really wanted to say something, but not over this distance.*

*Reyna would have no choice but to kick Callie's ass in that case.*

[Reyna just raises her eyebrow at Callie, daring her to say something. This was the reaction she wanted to avoid.]

*Callie walked over and sat next to her Praetor.*

You should wear that at the next meeting of the Senate, it should shut everyone up. ...or start a fistfight.

[Her eyes narrow as her lips remain in a firm line.]

It's ridiculous to be wearing even now, much less in a setting so inappropriate for it.

I wouldn't go that far, have you seen what some of this camps halfbloods are wearing. Hey, which of the Graecus got you into that outfit anyway?

*Part of her thought it might have been a wager lost to Jason... and that he was trying to get Reyna to have fun. But in that event it would be a bad idea to bring it up.*

And my comment, however inappropriate that venue is, was about you looking very good in that dress.

[She's really bad at accepting compliments... But she does manage a small smile for a fraction of a moment.]

Thank you, in that case. I asked Gabriel for help instead of seeking aid from Aphrodite's children this time.

Which one is he? I should applaud him his courage suggesting something like this.

*Seriously, most of the legion would lack the guts, and those with the guts would be seeing them first hand after suggesting such a thing.*

So... Praetor, why are we sharing cabins with the Graecus? Wouldn't it be better if we built temporary barracks for the cohorts here? They don't lack for space.

[A pause and she shrugs her shoulders.]

They have the space, but we need the permission first... and unless Mr. D reverts to Bacchus, I doubt we'll get the permission necessary. There is speculation of creating a city like New Rome, however... Still in the very earliest of planning stages.

Still, he's still breathing and you're wearing that dress. So... it somehow worked.

*Callie looked as guarded as when she first arrived. That girl that never wanted to live in a home that wasn't her's. Never had to share with people that didn't want her, a place she didn't belong.*

I guess asking the Centaur won't actually get it done? I still need to see if they'll let me build a doorway outside of the barrier. ...Do you really believe in this city idea? A new home for us?

[Reyna paused for a few moments, her lips pressed together, before nodding.]

The Graecus I a have spoken with about New Rome have been enchanted by the idea. I don't intend for us to stay forever, but it's a step in the right direction.

As for the barracks. We'll hold a Senate counsel and come to a conclusion... However, the directors seem to believe they know what's best for us regardless of if it is or not. I do not see them cooperating any time soon.

*Callie is rare to say those words. Sign of weakness. However, even if the Graecus won't make it happen, it means that they tried.*

I'll be so much happier when I have a door outside of their border. So if I'm needed I don't need to walk the two miles to that gas station before getting to where I'm really going.
