i can't believe that we would lie in our graves
Who: Scott McCall and YOU!
What: Aftermath of the werewolf attack.
When: Thursday, January 31
Where: Outside Nike cabin.
Why: It's time for Scott McCall to step into the light again.
[So it's safe to say that Scott McCall's been laying pretty low for a day or so. He's missed Roman training in the morning for the past two days, which he's pretty sure he'll be penalized for, but he figures lots of people were injured in the scuffle (which is a horrible word to use for what happened, now that he thinks about it, what the hell McCall) and -
and it's a little scary for him that the bite that he sustained is pretty much gone now.
No.
It's a lot scary. And he kind of has a feeling he knows what's happening to his body, but he doesn't like it one bit.
There are so few people that know about the whole bite thing, and Scott would really prefer to keep it that way, especially since - well, since he didn't ask for this. He never planned it to happen - he just wanted to keep the camp safe, wanted to keep all his new friends and his family, his legion, his home safe.
He's taking a few steps out of the cabin for the first time, trying to stay slow on his feet. It helps that he's a little disoriented by what he can see, what he can hear now. He's still got bulky bandages on under his shirt, just to keep appearances up. He got to a healer, yeah, but...healers don't fix everything right away, especially on someone who's just a legacy.
And now, apparently, a werewolf.]

And now, apparently, a werewolf.]

Okay, first I gotta own up to the Praetors that I slept through training yesterday and today. But uh. Come inside.
[And he leads her into the cabin, locking the door behind them and taking in a big sigh, blurting everything out quickly, a little panic in his eyes.]
I got bit. I'm a werewolf.
no subject
Oh my gods, McCall. [ It's not about her, of course, and she knows it very well but she can't help but hate herself that she had to get mixed up with that other hunter when she could have prevented this from happening. ]
I could've been there.

[He just moves to hug her again, really, really tight. He's glad she was there at all.]
no subject
Crap. I shouldn't hug you that tight. [ She purses her lips, shaking her head a little. ] Unless ... i can? What's up? How d'you feel? Do you need me to get you anything? I can say I need a new sling if you need me to go to the infirmary.
no subject
[He blinks a little.]
But um. I should probably eat something.
no subject
Come on, do you want candy or like ... a rare steak? [ What do good werewolves eat, anyway? She quirks her mouth into a sheepish smile. ]
no subject
You should really take more ambrosia for that. And...uh.
[He gives her a little one back.]
Both. Maybe both. [He feels like he could eat for a small army right now.]
no subject
I mean, not that okay. This is a huge, huge thing. I'm - I don't even know how I should be reacting. [ Heather babbles on, adjusting her sling again, making a face at how her bones and muscles protest the sudden movements. ]
Let's get food.
no subject
[His frown matches hers as she makes a face, then nods, starting to walk toward the dining pavilion.]
no subject
I don't know what I would've done if I lost you out there.
no subject
[He squeezes her hand right back, and in that instant - Scott feels the usual brotherly cameraderie he feels with Heather flood over him. He's so happy she's okay.]
We have to...we gotta thank the gods that this is what I came out with, I guess. It could be worse.
[Or maybe it couldn't, considering he can smell Heather from a mile away now.]
no subject
[ The thought of herself getting all furry and ferocious gives her the heebie jeebies and she shudders briefly. ] Does Stiles know about this?
no subject
Yeah. He knows I was bit. He saw me after - after I saw Allison. I couldn't not tell him, Heather. If I didn't tell him, I wouldn't be telling you, either.
no subject
[ She pauses. ] I'm glad you felt you could tell me about it. You know I'd support you through thick and thin. Oh but - what's going on with you and her, though?
[ Does she need to step in for whatever reason? She wants to know. ]
no subject
[He gives her a sheepish little grin.]
We're going out!
no subject
[ She giggles, giving his arm a little shake because she can't exactly jump up and down and tackle him in joy right now. ] Dude. Dude. That's awesome. I - well, I hope she's good to you.
no subject
I think she will be. I mean, I'm gonna be good to her, too. I have to. There's something there.
no subject
You go feed yourself now, okay?
no subject
[He laughs a little bit, kind of afraid it's true.]
Thanks, Heather.
