DRESS UP THOR
Who: Eiji, Artemis, and Ankh
What: Eiji had a dream. His gloves and belt are somewhere in America, and he needs those if he's to wield Mjolnir at some point
When: April 10th-April 14th
Where: Well, it'll end at Parsons (a fashion design school)
Why: People need their stuff.
Chiron was a little unsure about this "quest"--there had been no prophecy and their Oracle couldn't actually offer one. Perhaps it had something to do with the dream coming to Eiji himself. Either way, the only help Rachel could offer was clarification of where, exactly, they would be off to. They would find the gauntlets and belt at Parsons Fashion Design School on 5th Avenue in downtown New York City.
It's with little fanfare the Eiji and his companions head off, though people are still invited to see them off and welcome them home when they return.

Hey!
[He leans back, eyes up at the ceiling of the van and arms crossed over his bag, which is sitting in his lap.]
Is it really a quest if we're just driven there?
no subject
You're still coming all the way out here to obtain these things, it's still a quest. You even got souvenirs. [He pulls his charm out from under his shirt and shifts it on its cord before tucking it away again.]

[Artemis folds up the map and hands it to Eiji just as the car starts to roam for a parking spot.]
I've memorized the layout of the school. I'd like you to take this just in case we need to separate.
no subject
[Eh? He sits up again and takes the map, nodding.]
Mm. Do you have any ideas for where they might be kept?
no subject
[He turns his attention back to Artemis when the map comes up, and particularly at Eiji's question. To have memorized the layout of the school was one thing, but to know the location of the items they were seeking was entirely another. And would potentially make this much, much shorter.]
no subject
[Is Artemis enjoying this? Oh, yes, he is.]
Ankh, when you're a hawk, do you have its keen vision as well?
no subject
[Glances over at Ankh curiously.]
no subject
Of course I do. What kind of hawk would I be otherwise?
no subject
[He quirks an eyebrow at his companions.]
Does this first step suit?
no subject
...How about getting into the actual school itself?
no subject
Would you have done it the old fashioned way without me along?
no subject
[And now he'll address Eiji's question.]
Oh, we'll go in through the front door. The two of us are going to pretend that we're interested in applying to the university after we graduate high school, and that we've decided to take a tour of the campus. Ankh is our aerial support. If he spies trouble, then we'll have to rely on him to warn us somehow.
no subject
[He nods to that other part. He's at least about the age to be looking into college. It's been a long time, but remembers all those guidance counselor meetings he had in high school. The fact that he had decided to not go was always looked at strangely by his family.]
Sounds simple enough.
no subject
Relying on someone you hardly know seems like quite the bargain. [And it's either extremely foolish or extremely trusting, and neither of these options are things Ankh is particularly comfortable with.]
no subject
It is a bargain I'm willing to make in this instance. Call it a trial of faith.
[He's not too concerned about whether Ankh will decide to be kind to them or not. Strategies and counter-strategies are Artemis' specialty.]
This is either going to turn into a scouting mission for today or a successful acquiring of what we came here for. It depends on where the items are located, and whether it will be prudent to take them in the middle of the day. Either way, it makes more sense for Ankh to do his part first before Eiji and I head inside.
no subject
[If they didn't find out the hard way.]
Besides I have a hard time believing you would dupe us this early on. You'd wait until we had the belt sight at least, yeah?

Which is the only reason Argus managed to pull the van over when it started smoking before things got too messy, what with the smoke and all. Without a word (he didn't speak much), Argus got out of the car to start looking under the hood. Dammit]
no subject
[Of course, all he does in light of their words is bristle and grumble under his breath, shifting in his seat to stare out the window and ignore them some more-- until Argus (weird looking, wasn't he?) pulled the van over to examine its innards.]
[He tsks, climbing out of the van as well.]
We're on some kind of a time limit here, aren't we?
no subject
Not particularly. If we're going to be late, I've got enough drachma and a prism to send a message to camp.
no subject
Do you need help?
[Someone get this boy on task.]

Given the age and the general look of the thing, I doubt this is the first time this has happened. He probably knows how to handle it.
[He's directing that at Eiji, though he's too busy rolling his eyes at him to actually look at him.]
