Who: Eiji, Artemis, and Ankh
What: Eiji had a dream. His gloves and belt are somewhere in America, and he needs those if he's to wield Mjolnir at some point
When: April 10th-April 14th
Where: Well, it'll end at Parsons (a fashion design school)
Why: People need their stuff.

Chiron was a little unsure about this "quest"--there had been no prophecy and their Oracle couldn't actually offer one. Perhaps it had something to do with the dream coming to Eiji himself. Either way, the only help Rachel could offer was clarification of where, exactly, they would be off to. They would find the gauntlets and belt at Parsons Fashion Design School on 5th Avenue in downtown New York City.

It's with little fanfare the Eiji and his companions head off, though people are still invited to see them off and welcome them home when they return.

[And that is Thor moving towards the school with very little subtlety.]

Eiji, a word to the wise: less obvious, more subtle. Going in without looking like we belong in that setting is not the definition of 'subtle.'

[Artemis glances at Ankh.]

Would you mind scouting around while we purchase what we need? Eiji needs to look like he fits the part of a serious college student applying for a very fashion-conscious school.

[Another grin.]

Sure. But I want to see this "serious college student" attire, no doubt it'll be rich.

[And off he goes, stepping out of sight before shifting into a hawk and flying off to do a circuit of the school.]

I don't think there's anything wrong with what I'm wearing!

[Eiji you dress like a hippie, you're in the wrong kind of college for that.]

Fine, let's hurry.

[There is thankfully a small boutique not far, owned and operated by a former student of Parsons.

As for Ankh, as he scouts he'll learn that Víli's collection is a women's collection and that no one but the model for the final piece has gotten close to the belt or gauntlet. He takes it home with him every night and brings it back every morning]

[Praise be to the gods (even if Eiji and Artemis are those gods they're praising). Artemis will have Eiji fitted out with the clothes he needs, and he pays for them while the reincarnation of Thor is changing. Does he care about Eiji objecting to this? Not a bit, but the objections can happen outside and not in the poor former student's boutique.

Now, kitted out in acceptable attire, all they have to do is wait for Ankh to give them the low-down.]

[And surprisingly enough, Ankh is fairly prompt to report back to the reincarnates. He swoops back to them and shifts fluidly back to his humanoid form, cracking his neck and various joints for a moment after before he turns to them.]

[He fairly immediately laughs sardonically, both for what he gets to tell them and for Eiji's new attire. What a tool.]

He's showcasing a women's collection, the belt and gauntlet go everywhere with him. The only person that isn't him that's ever gotten anywhere near it is the model for the final piece, which incorporates both items.

[His grin turns nearly vicious in its amusement as he looks at Eiji.]

Looks like you get to be pretty, Eiji.

[Eiji was more or less okay with the outfit change. While he tried not to be too offended by the clear insult to his own fashion, he knew blending in with this school would be important. So, he let Art pick out whatever and he put it on without much complaint.]

[He gets a few eyes as he's waiting for Ankh to get back. Oh. Uh. Fffff.]

[When Ankh gets back he decides he'd rather go back to getting goo-goo eyed by other students because that is not the plan he wanted to get involved in.]

Wha- now wait just a minute. There's no way I would get away with that!

[He looks at Artemis as if pleading him to agree. DIDN'T THEY JUST HAVE A CONVERSATION ABOUT THOR AND LOKI CROSSDRESSING HE IS PRETTY SURE THEY DID.]

[Artemis manages to hide his amusement behind a good poker face. He gives Eiji a critical look.]

You wouldn't have to wear anything that shows too much skin. Something loose and covering, and we'll need to use make-up to make your face look less masculine. We're lucky that there's a good place where a professional can make you look like a completely different person.

[Oh, yes, he's enjoying this.]

Not to mention, Eiji, that Ankh is correct. If we want to grab the belt and gauntlets, then you will need to look like a model.

[Words cannot express how suddenly pleased he is to be along on this quest of humiliation. The crooked grin that seems permanently etched into his face might start to cover his amusement though.]

By the way, Eiji. Nice glasses.

[Eiji gives Ankh such a sour look for that comment. He knows Ankh is just hideously amused with everything.]

[It's a sound plan but that doesn't mean Eiji is going to be thrilled with it. Nor is he going down alone.]

Mm, so the plan is to send me in on my own. Would you really place this whole mission in my hands like that?

[He sees what you're doing there.]

Of course not, Eiji. We wouldn't want to risk the mission.

[Artemis closes his eyes as he thinks of their options, and chooses which one has the best chance of success. In the end, he can really only think of one thing, and it's going to be risky. He opens his eyes with a slight frown.]

One option comes to mind that has the best chance. Ankh, can you view the show from the air as a hawk or would it be easier if you were human?

[He gives Eiji an ironic look.]

It looks as if the two of us will be recreating that myth again, though without the awkwardness of you marrying a giant.

[He kisses his teeth in thought for a moment, crossing his arms. The fact that Artemis calls it "human" gets a wry grin out of him, and he shakes his head.]

Either or, really. I could probably attend the show as a spectator, or watch from outside. It depends on what you're aiming for my intent to be in that.
